Scrapes, Bruises and Bumps!!
If any of you know my husband you know that he is a dirt bike fanatic! He lives, eats and breathes dirt biking! This summer has been one of his best riding summers yet...thanks to a couple of his best buddies (Dane, Marty, Greg and Roger) they have made it so fun for him and he has made lifelong friends! And so have I!
(I am going to get a group picture of all of them soon! They're a sight to see after they go riding!)
(McCall, you will have to help me get all the boys together for a picture)
Jeff is literally busy from 7 AM to 9 PM from Sunday to Friday with school, work and church callings so Saturday is his only time to play! Yeah I could be a needy wife and ask him to spend every Saturday with me and to be honest sometimes it is hard to let him go riding every Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM! Especially since I work in the middle of the night sometimes we don't see each other for more than 5 minutes during the week! But I think I have one of the hardest working husbands in the United States and he deserves to go and have his fun on the weekends!
When Jeff started to go riding every Saturday he would come home with scrapes and bruises all over his arms. His famous words are, "Man that was such a good work out," and "It was just so hot I had to roll up my sleeves," don't forget the famous, "OH there are tons of trees up there and it is so fun to smack them away with your arms and your helmet as you ride through them!"
Putting all those quotes together you can see why he comes home with scrapes and bruises up to his shoulders from all of the "awesome" trees!
Every time he leaves I tell him to be safe and every time he comes home and jumps out of the shower I can't help but roll my eyes when I see his mangled up arms. This boy is relentless and no matter what I say...it won't change a thing so I touch his arms and sometimes give him kisses but I know that he will get more the next Saturday so it doesn't surprise me anymore.
This last Saturday was kind of a different story.

I was in Reagan's room putting away all of the wonderful things I had gotten for the shower when Jeff comes in from riding. He gave me a little kiss and went straight to the shower. After he got ready he came back into the room brushing his teeth...that is when I saw this! All I could say was, "What did you do?" He smiled at me, looked down at his arm, looked back up at me and simply said, "OH That?...mmm nothing!"
I later found out that he had more major scrapes and bruises under his shoulders! No wonder he got dressed so fast that day! Like he was gonna keep them hidden from me for forever!!
To be honest it doesn't look to bad in the pictures but when he comes home with scrapes like this one almost every week you start to get a little worried...
we went to dinner with his buddies that night and they were showing each other their war wounds from that day!
It was like me showing off an adorable new purse from Dillard's that was 50% off to my girlfriends and all of us dying over it!
I tried to put Band-Aids on it but he was very hesitant and kept saying, "Oh its fine, its not bleeding!"
YEAH RIGHT! He went in for a kiss and totally got his blood and my shirt and on my pants!
OH what can you do?...at least he comes home alive with no broken bones!
I will take scrapes and bruises over that any day!

Maybe this little girl will calm him down!
PROBABLY NOT!
