FIRST DAY HOME!
We got to go home Friday morning and we have been enjoying every moment of it!

My mom came up for the day and helped us get settled! She did the laundry and helped cleaned the house a little bit more and even made us the best roast dinner I have ever had! Complete with carrots and red potatoes! It was bliss! Thanks again mom for helping us feel at home.

We can't get enough of her! Our live is seriously perfection right now! We could not be more blessed!

THE STORY!
As I hold Reagan in my arms I am still amazed that she is here! I am so grateful for all of the love and support that was shown to me throughout my labor and delivery! From friends to co-workers to family! I could not have been more surrounded by love! To everyone that was there for me and sent me love through the phone calls and text thank you thank you thank you! None of you will ever know how much that truly meant to me!
I will start the story on Tuesday morning!! Even though I had been contracting on and off for a few days before that (and no they weren't Braxton Hicks contractions...I had been having those for a few months) and every since I turned 37 weeks I walked up to the temple almost everyday! On some days I would walk up there twice and run up the stairs on campus, I also worked up till I had her. I was actually suppose to work the night I had her. This last weekend my sisters Liza and Rachel came into town so Jeff and I stayed in Idaho Falls. While we were there we ran up stairs in my parents house and jumped on the tramp! Anyways Tuesday morning rolled around and I woke up at 5 AM and couldn't fall back asleep! So I decided to walk up to the temple before my apt and it was worth it to because I was contracting very regularly when I went in! I went into the doctor Tuesday morning for my apt and explained to my doctor that I had been contracting every 3 to 10 minutes throughout the morning. He checked me and I was already 4 cm! So he told me to come back into the office if I was continuing to contract every 2 to 4 minutes for a few hours. I was so excited that I was already a 4 so I decided to celebrate and go walk around the park! I walked around Porter Park 4 times and decided to go home! I started doing some laundry and was so exhausted and decided to take a nap. After my nap I went on another walk with my friend Nancy and then decided to head back into the office to see if I was changing at all. Well I hadn't changed so I decided to go back to Idaho Falls and jump on the tramp some more with my sisters.
After an hour or so of jumping I decided Jeff and I should probably go back to Rexburg because my contractions were getting stronger...anyways throughout the night they continued to be every 2 to 4 minutes apart and they were getting stronger and stronger! I tried to bathtub and even tried to sleep and nothing worked so Jeff and I went into the hospital at 0800 to see what was going on. My doctor checked me and said I had changed and decided to break my water and keep me!
Kendra was my nurse during the day and she was seriously amazing! I got my epidural around 1100 and after felt great! I hadn't realized how much pain I had been in until I wasn't in it anymore! Paul was so awesome and it worked great! I think at that time I was about 5 to 6 cm.
Anyways after that it was a long long long day! My doctor had a meeting from 3 to 7 that day and I really wanted him to deliver me so we kinda hung out and just let me labor on my own until he was available.
My mom and husband were so unbelievably amazing, I can't even believe it! They were by my side throughout the whole day! My mom rubbed my feet and stayed by my side and helped me through everything!
I have always known I had a great husband but I truly did fall in love with my husband again on that day! Being a labor nurse I have observed and seen many dads throughout labor and their interaction with their wives and I know I am bias but I really do feel like I was the best treated wive ever! He was there for me through out the whole 16 hours! He held my hand and rubbed my legs and feet and fed me ice chips and was constantly asking, "Honey what can I do?" and "Baby are you ok?" Not only that but he was so supportive...saying "You are so tough," and "You are doing such a great job!" I will be forever in debt to him for his compassion and love through this journey.
OK anyways there was a time during the day when I was 6 to 7 cm for a good 7 hours!! I was getting very nervous because I knew that if I hadn't had change; soon a c-section would start to be the next option. But my doctor was so amazing and he ensured me that if we have patience things would start to happen! Kim was my night nurse and she was amazing as well! I couldn't have done it without her either! She was so supportive and was willing to wait as well. She continued to say that there was little change and that is all we needed! At around 7 or 8 I started to feel pressure and some pain so I got an epidural bolus which didn't really do much...unfortunately it just made me more nauseated (which I had been throughout all of labor already). The next few hours I was slowly starting to breath through my contractions more and more and started to feel more as well. I was ok with feeling some though because I wanted to be able to push well. Anyways at around 11 Kim came in and checked me after I had told her I was feeling a lot of pain and pressure. She said that Reagan was right there! They set up for delivery and we started pushing at 1130! After the first push she was ready for the doctor to come and after only 10 minutes at 1143 Reagan Jane Sabin had arrived!
Some of my sisters were there to support me as well! Sara left right before the action started and Liza and Rachel were with me throughout all of it! I was so grateful for all the love and support! Everyone was there rubbing my feet and sitting with me! I couldn't have done it without any of them!

Here she is!

We had so many visitors come and see us! Thanks again everyone for your love and support!

Jeff and Robyn gave her the bath!

When we went over to the mother baby unit Amanda had decorated my door! It was adorable!

Jeff's side of the story!
The best part of having a child is being able to look at her and think that she is 100% ours and nobody can take her from us. She has been the best little baby in the entire world. She never cries (knock on wood) and never fusses. She truly is the best thing that has happened to Sadie and I. I am so happy now to be able to have her in our life and to be able to share my time with her and Sadie. It's so fun to look at her cute little face and think of what she's thinking and to think of all the future stories we will have from this little girl.
Going to the hospital that morning, i really thought we were going to be turned back home, since this whole thing has seemed like a dream. But we were admitted and set in our room and it was so great to see Sadie on the bed and waiting for Reagan's arrival. It was nice to think that soon all this would be over for Sadie and she wouldn't have to deal with the wonderful things that pregnancy brings:) The hours seemed to go by like minutes and soon Sadie was ready to have Reagan and everything was prepped and ready for Reagan to come. I have to say that i was really nervous and couldn't stop shaking cause i was so nervous for the whole situation and was wondering what she would look like. Throughout the day it was so hard to see Sadie in so much pain and trying to throw up even though she had nothing to throw up. I felt so bad for her and to see all the pain she was in dealing with the contractions. But she was amazing and dealt with everything so well. She really is such a strong wife and i couldn't ask for anyone any better than her.
Well finally at 11:30 Sadie started pushing and at 11:43 Reagan came and I was nervous to see what she looked like. I was telling Sadie's sister (Liza) that I felt like I was coming home off my mission and was about to see my family for the first time. But everything went so well and Reagan is beautiful and I couldn't ask for anything better than this. It's so great to be home now and with Sadie and Reagan. I'm excited for the days to come.
