Thanks for the post....
Oh my gosh!!!! Sooo cute! I have often wondered if I will pierce my little girl's ears when she is a baby. I think you just sold me on piercing her ears! She seems fine just a few minutes after!
ReplyDeleteI think you were more traumatized than she was! When my daughter had to have stitches, she hated the being pinned down part more than the stitches! It was probably the same over there, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI had my girls done at 7 months and 4 months. They never bothered with them, and it was perfect timing! Love little earrings on little girls :)
ReplyDeleteI love her face leading up to the piercing, prior to the holding her down part! It was so cute! But the holding her down part almost put me in tears because it reminded me of holding my son down for shots...SO HARD!!!!
ReplyDeleteyour little girl is so darn cute! the earings suit her well.
ReplyDeletei secertly wanna be your best friend. your blog rocks i could only imagin having you for a friend. thanks for sharing your everything with all of us.

ReplyDeleteI love your faces in those pictures! Priceless and the pain only lasts for second. I did all 4 of my girls after their 2 month shots and they did great. Only 2 cried for like 5 seconds. She sure is a beauty! You are awesome, thanks for the win! I can't wait to try out those goodies!

awwwww haha the pictures are so sad but she does look fantabulous! I love it! In my culture we actually do these things like 2 weeks after birth just because "the tissue there is not as thick" <----according to my mexican nanny :p lol sometimes the babies dont even cry...isnt that crazy!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, she is adorable! Good job stayin' tough mama!
ReplyDeleteI just did my baby girls too! She is 5 months! Gosh it's so fun to have a girl! :D
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, look at her little face!!! Aww!! But she looks SO fine afterwards, and really cute!
ReplyDeleteI had my ears pierced as a baby too and my mum says it's best cos babies don't fuss with them like little kids do!

ReplyDeleteSadie,
ReplyDeleteWas searching for my GF's blog and came across yours. Loved your thoughtful reasoning and description having your dd's ears pierced as an infant.
This was a perfect age to pierce her ears! You were a smart mommy for doing it now and following mommy intuition earlier is best when mommy can care for them. Babies and little girls with little pierced ears celebrates their femininity and femaleness.
Our ped gave me some suggestions for moms having their infant dd's ears pierced as well as for "Care of Newly Pierced Ears."
Write me an e-mail if your thinking about it and want to do it now or would like the "Care for Newly Pierced Ears" tips.
