I've never written on Sadie's blog but recently there has been a lot of positive and negative comments on her blog. I'd like to write about my thoughts about Sadie blog and her many followers.
I seriously have the most amazing wife ever, and I knew something was different about her when we first met in 2008. And for the past 3 years that we've been married I have enjoyed spending every second with Sadie.
Now what makes Sadie different is that she is a person that wants to share her love with everyone. When she started blogging back in December of 2008 I honestly didn't realize how many lives she would effect with her blog. Ever since that first blog post in 2008 I have religiously read every single blog post that she has written. I read her blog because i know she appreciates it when people appreciate her talents.
It all started when Sadie started sharing our stories and experiences with family and friends. Then she decided that she wanted to share her wonderful talent with the whole world. Sadie has many talents, she's a wonderful; mother, wife, writer, blogger, friend, craftier, and she's my wife and I'm proud of everything she does.
Since Sadie has started blogging there have been countless nights where Sadie stayed up way late and didn't go to bed with me cause she was focused on her blog and sharing her thoughts with her wonderful followers. I've never seen someone that has so much passion in sharing her life with others. One of Sadie's talents is in writing, she can sit down and write some of the most amazing sentences that just flow together and make your eyes glued to the computer screen. When you read her blog you get sucked into her thoughts, you feel like your with Sadie listening to the story straight from her with all of her attitude and personality.
Sadie has been able to share everything from our wedding day, trips to Washington, motherhood, Reagan's birth, Melaleuca, quitting nursing, random thoughts, fourth of July, making our bed spread, making custom lamp shades, painting the interior of our house, and the love shared within our family. The beauty about blogging is that you are able to talk about whatever you want and the readers are able to pick and choose whatever they want to read from all the bloggers in the world. It's interesting when I read comments from Sadie's readers about how they don't like what she's talking about. The purpose of me writing this blog post is to remind everyone the beauty of blogging and the ability to write and talk about whatever you want. As a reader you have the right to pick and choose what blogger you enjoy to read, you can read Perez Hilton's blog about celebrities or a Stay At Home Mom talking about her everyday life. There are thousands of bloggers out there and they are all at your finger tips. It's difficult to see Sadie put the time and effort into her blog post and then have a reader complain about what Sadie is talking about. As a reader you have the "Right" to comment on blogs, but this doesn't mean you should leave nasty comments that are designed to belittle or tear down the writer. The concept of a blog is "Freedom of Speech", so to all the readers out there that don't enjoy what a blogger is writing about, STOP READING THE BLOG POST and write your own blog if it bothers you so much.
Again I'm grateful for the wife that I married and how resilient and strong she is. I'm extremely proud of everything she has been able to accomplish. I'm also grateful for all of the {Simply Sadie Jane} followers out there. You are the ones that keep Sadie going, she loves your comments and emails from the many followers out there. I've had the chance to read the hundreds of emails and comments and it always amazes me how many amazing people there are out there that love and follow Sadie's blog. So to all of the {Simply Sadie Jane} follower, I say thank you for following Sadie, she LOVES it when she gets new followers, so I THANK each and every one of you.

I've been blogging for years, since I was stationed overseas - then continued through my pregnancy - and now that my toddler is 3 I have kept it up. My blog has changed gears over the years. I am no longer married to my son's father, and I endure criticism every day I post something about my boyfriend and my son being close. (His father is almost non-existent in his life.) Not the same situation as y'all at ALL, but what I am saying is that the SAME anonymous commenter fills my emails DAILY with her nonsensical BS. She gives me parenting advice, relationship advice and last week told me I was "frumpy and its time to lose the baby weight". I have started to screen my comments, but it does NOT make it any easier to read them! You just have to endure it! There's no easy answer, unfortunately. Blog because you LOVE it. Because it makes SO MANY of US happy, and it makes you happy.
It's an honor that you share your lives and your talents with the world, Sadie! And Jeff, good for you for writing this post, its incredible. There should be more men like you in the world. You're a lucky couple!! Good luck and keep your head up Lady!

I found your blog last month and have loved it so much, that in that time I have read it from your very first post, in order, all the way up through present day. I think you are an absolute pleasure to read and I am inspired by the closeness of your large family! You are an inspiration as you juggle it all- wife, mother, blogger, crafter, homemaker, and loving family member to countless brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Do NOT let negative people get you down-- I am bouyed up every day by the awesome, positive attitude that is always shining through in what you write. You are AMAZING. I love reading your blog! My favorite posts are the ones you write about being a wife and mother. Feels good to relate and most of the time I learn a little something new from you too. People will say mean things because they have nothing better to do with their time than try to bring others down. I read your blog all the time and I think it's so fun how creative you are! :) And I love that you share about your struggles too because Poeple always think someone's perfect and then they realize they have flaws just like everyone which makes your blog fun to read because people can relate to you and fell what you're feeling! :) Keeps those posts up!! :D
I agree. As the blog author, Sadie should be able to write about whatever whenever and not worry about what others think...that's what we all love about her. Jeff, how sweet of you to write this post. Of course, we already knew you were a good husband because of Sadie's writing!
Sadie, your blog is BY FAR my favorite ever. You have such passion for life, and it truly inspires me. I am actually a nursing student right now, and reading about your journey honestly helps me keep going because it's definitely not an easy major. And of course, I just LOVE all of your crafty things and pictures of Reagan! You are absolutely AMAZING.

I'm a fairly new reader of Sadie's blog and simply adore her! You are a wonderful husband for having her back. I know that for every one person who writes positive comments, there are dozens more out there that subscribe, read and love her as well but don't post for whatever reason. Keep your chin up, Sadie! Sadie - You know how much I love you girl!!. You are on my top faves list and were in my post of top 10 bloggers I'd love to meet. I have recently had a few negative comments too and know how upsetting it is. You have held your head high and you have such an amazing husband behind you. Your *real* fans are the ones that matter.
I have read every single post on your blog and love each one. If I didn't like it, I would do as Jeff said - just don't read. It's upsetting that people feel compelled to leave negative things on peoples blogs - but you are you and we all love you :)
You know that I've been following you for a while and we've even emailed each other a couple times!
You have inspired me to be a better me, made me think about becoming a nurse for sweet babies (still deciding), have helped me become a stronger me without comparing myself to you or anyone else, remind me what is the most important goal in life, and so much more...
Hands down you have made an impact on my life and I hope yours in our little way on our little internet world.

I found your blog a couple of months ago and have since gone back to read every post. What keeps me reading (besides the wonderful projects) is your passion for life and your family. Sadie has mentioned that she has two wonderful fathers. I am the blood father Richard. Sadie is my youngest daughter of eight children. I remember when Sadie was young and in the shadow of her older sisters, during one of my visits from Oregon in Idaho Falls she expressed concern that she would never live up to her amazing four older sisters. I told her, honey, that will be no problem for you, just trust me. And sure enough Sadie and Jeff are a team that the family has never seen in accomplishments so young. Not that I take away from any of my other talented and hard working children. The followers who see the goodness and talent of Sadie's blog FAR out way the negative small percentage of those that for whatever reason feel they need to leave a comment that serves no purpose but to be negative. I agree with Jeff- if you don't care for Sadie's blog, leave it alone and move on. Life has positive and negative. They both exist because that is the way of the universe. Jeff, I champion you for your post- because you are her partner and you support one another! You know the energy Sadie puts into her blog, and also the support you give her in her efforts to make the world a better place. I love you Sadie Baby- remember our secret! When you were lonely we were as close as the warmth of the sun shining on your face and on mine at the same time. It was our connection when we weren't together and missed being together. No one can take that from us ever. I love you honey! Love to Jeff and sweet Reagan Jane! You have an enchanted life that so many would love to have and that you both have worked so hard for. Sadie has truly started a fantastic blog that so many women can relate to. It's too bad there are a few dummies who have nothing better to do than leave nasty comments on a sweet mom, wife,mother,and friends blog! I can't believe how ridiculous people can be. i love Sadie's blog,not just bc she is a dear friend, but because it is entertaining. i have laughed so hard and even teared up,sometimes her stories are so cool I share them with Kevin. Other times, i have told friends if they want to learn how to make an Anthro inspired bead spread check out my friend Sadie's blog- she is the DIY queen! I love you guys!! i am kind of mad to know people can be so immature!

Don't let the negative nellies and haterators get you down. I like to think that they must have something really craptacular going on in their life and need someone to lash out at...and the internet is the easiest place. Boo. Its not cool. I wish they'd just click the 'x' and go away, too.

I just recently stumbled upon Sadie Jane's blog, and i have been secretely stalking it while at work! I'm a 19 year old girl who is striving to become a wife & mother like Sadie. I look up to her so much; and I simply dont understand how anybody could have anything negative to say about her blogs. I love them. And I already told my future husband that I cant wait for him to graduate college, so I can quit my job, start a blog, and be an amazing wife like Sadie. <3 this family, they rock.
I love when husbands write posts on their wives blogs, it's very sweet. I do not understand why people can be so cruel and insensitive. I'm a new follower of Sadie Jane and I love it. :)
