Jeff and I are slowly becoming pros at traveling 10 HOURS with a baby.
We have done it 3 times now and each time seems to get a LITTLE easier...
I know you are DYING to see how we travel with a baby for 10 HOURS...so here's a PLAY BY PLAY!
ALL PACKED UP!!
a bag for food
a bag for toys
a bag for diaper changes, burp clothes and spills,
and plenty of extra blankets just in case.
Call me crazy but it makes my stress level go down 50 notches if the car is clean and organized!
All smiles before the trip.
Thank you world for making gas prices so high.
It is a GREAT way to start out a trip.
ALL the essentials...
ice cold water
ipod's full of fresh, funky music
and
something sweet, salty and chocolatey...yeah that's a word!
We officially started on the freeway...
We had some healthy options of course...
first nap time.
nap didn't last long...
she was ready to play.
DINNER!
time to bust out the BIG GUNS!
BED TIME!
This is the glorious time in our travels where I get to sleep, watch movies, paint my toes, read a book, talk with my love or craft...
yeah I'm that hardcore!!
I CRAFT IN THE CAR.
When the sun goes down and I don't feel like I'm gonna lose my lunch after looking down for 2 seconds...
I start my crafting.
We hook up the power converter...
and the extension cord...
and the glue gun.
Jeff sometimes likes to have his alone time too.
He started randomly busting out in laughter and I was intrigued...
I like a good comedian just as much as the next girl...
or so I thought...
I preferred the music this trip.
It's harder then it looks!
Trust me...
notice how I can't seem to stay on my toe...
take that for some evidence.
Once hour 8 hit I was consumed in watching Batman Begins and holding in my A.D.D.ness for 2 more hours...
If I had thought I would have survived...
I would have jumped out of the car right then and there...
just to get my legs moving.
Jeff says the drive is "NOTHIN'" after doing it so many times...
I can't count how many times I have driven it...and it doesn't get ANY greater each time we do it...
BUT
IT IS ALWAYS WORTH IT
because we always come HOME to love, laughter, family and
THIS BEAUTIFUL SIGHT!
This weekend was FULL of fun times with the family!
Here are a few snapshots of the weekend...
DISCLAIMER: I HAD THE GLORIOUS STOMACH FLU SATURDAY SO I MISSED OUT ON THE EASTER EGG HUNT and some of the other activities but this captures most of what we enjoyed!
Vicki made matching dresses for ALL the girls for Easter!
AMAZING.
I would like you all to focus and Reagan's actions and faces during these next pictures...
you will soon find out that..
1. SHE HATES BOWS!
2. SHE HATES GRASS!
Trying REALLY REALLY hard to get them all to smile!
...didn't work!
Jeff's younger brother Jared received his EAGLE on Sunday as well.
I'm not really sure I have a comment for these next few pictures...
ALTHOUGH...it looks like I could possibly be trying to break my husbands neck...
we were simply trying to have a little fun.
A PICTURE IS WORTH A MILLION WORDS...
like
'DANG HONEY...you HUGE!'
Even if he doesn't say it doesn't mean he isn't thinking it...
it's written ALL OVER HIS FACE.
I am NOT stupid.
Ready for ATTACK!
Must keep quite...
yeah...
we didn't get anything...
not like we were really trying too...
seriously though...who does this...?
for the love.
AND just because I didn't want to end the post with me trying to get off of Jeff like a monkey...
I will add one more ADORABLE picture of Reagan.
The weekend was wonderful.
We are still in WA...until this next weekend.
Jeff is doing some business and Reagan and I are spending some time with grandma and grandpa!
Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone...
