While moms away!

While I complete my 2 week orientation at the new hospital I am working at my little Reagan is spending her days with my dear friend and neighbor Holly and her 2 adorable kids!

I feel so absolutely grateful to have friends like Holly who will take my little girl and treat her like her own!

So tomorrow I start another week of work...and Jeff will drop her off...

for a few more exciting days of all this!!

She is obsessed with her new little friends!

Apparently she ohhhs and ahhhs when Jeff pulls into their driveway...

she even shuts the door on him!

I have a feeling this little brother couldn't have come at a better time...she is in desperate need of a friend!

I will seriously be in debt to Holly for forever for doing this for me!

I feel so blessed!

Happy Valentines Day!

We celebrated V-day early this year!

What better way to celebrate than spoiling my husband...who am I kidding?...and ME...with an amazing dinner!

 roast, red potatoes, broccoli, rolls, spinach salad!

 I got Jeff some cologne to make him even more delicious...and he got me a sweet I PHONE...case!

The phone will come in a couple months!

 AND for DESSERT!

Marbled Chocolate Cheesecake...dyed pink especially for the occasion!

 AND just in case we didn't already go into a sugar coma...I wanted to top off the night with some strawberries!

 We put Reagan down early

then we laughed, talked and enjoyed the night with just the 2 of us...and maybe a movie!

Like I said in the last post I am going back to work!! 

BUT never fear...I'm not doing anything too drastic!

I am SO WONDERFULLY grateful to have the degree I do...since I'm an RN I have the freedom to work whenever I want...nights even!

When Jeff and I first got married I worked full-time nights for about 2 and 1/2 years...then when Reagan was about 7 months old I wanted to decrease my hours because if we crunched the numbers we thought we could make due...well long story short there wasn't anything available at the hospital...so I decided to quit. 

It was easily one of the hardest decisions I have ever made! 

But one of the best...it has been such a tremendous blessing to be home with Reagan...

BUT Jeff just graduated and we're young and we have another baby on board and we have private insurance that totally and completely sucks and blah blah blah...

so I decided that it was time that I needed to start pitching in BUT I had my demands!

Frankly...I'm surprised anyone hired me at all...

I applied to places that didn't even have openings...

AND all I want to work is ONE night a week...

yeah...I'm high maintenance! 

OH and did I mention...I'm pregnant and I will need at least 8 weeks off for maternity leave.

DON'T WORRY though...I have EXPERIENCE! 

HA...I almost didn't apply because I knew all my demands were intense!

BUT...somehow I got a job...ONE night a week...

just enough that Reagan won't even notice I'm gone.

7pm to 7am! 

The only bad part about it...is orientation...

I have to work full-time for 4 weeks (2 weeks on day shift and 2 on nights)

Thank goodness for amazing friends that offer to watch my little girl during the day!

Reagan will have a BLAST with her little friends...playing all day.

Way better than sitting at home with mom playing with the same old toys.

I am so blessed to continue to not have to use day care...I know that some people don't have a choice and I am so blessed that I do.

I start tomorrow...and work till Thursday! 

I will stop by and drop a line saying hello...hope your Valentines Day is full of chocolate, flowers and kisses...lots and lots of kisses!

HOLY ORGANIZATION BATMAN!

So this last week has kinda been a whirl wind!

Ya know how I told you I got in a wreck with Jeff work pick up WELL...SURPRISE...I also got a flippin' 85 dollar ticket!

I just wanted to take my sick little girl into the doctor and of course I wasn't even thinking about my speed...it's sort of a problem! 

SO within a week I have officially racked up over 600 DOLLARS of car fees FOR THE LOVE!

I cried...and Jeff got me flowers...just because I was having a bad day...WHO IS HE!?!

BUT on a random note...

the same day I got the ticket I found out I got a JOB! 

Yep...I'm going back to work...(just one night a week) but post about that coming soon!

ANYWAYS things have been going for the better and for the worse in the Sabin home...so what better way to release some stress then doing some ORGANIZATIONAL therapy!

I consider myself a clean and organized person...but EVERYONE has a junk drawer right!?...

I, OF COURSE, used that excuse for FOREVER until...ONE DAY...I broke down and bought little basket organizers...BEST. DECISION. EVER.

Honestly ALL OF THIS was in...

 this drawer!

LIKE...HONESTLY...who does that!?

OH...I am disgusted by my hoarding drawer!

Good thing for me...I didn't need a therapist to throw away and organize this drawer!

 OH...how embarrassing!

One nap time + 6 dollars in bins at Walmart...that's ALL it took!!! 

 PERFECTION!

We also FINALLY installed these little gadgets on all our drawers!!!

Now I won't have to pick up my tupperware and lotion bottles and pans 12 times a day!

OH it's a good feeling!

I'm telling you...all you moms out there...if you need to relieve some stress...pick a drawer...clean it out and feel the stress float away!

Then go and take pictures and videos of all your little children...

Miss R is kinda obsessed with shoes (just like her momma!)

Just hanging around the house she almost ALWAYS has to have a pair of shoes on...which is TOTALLY against the rules...but I guess I will let it fly for this little ray of sunshine! 

Reagan has been talking...or trying to talk so much lately!

She sure has quite the personality!

With my one hoarded junk drawer clean and my days spent inside cuddling my sick little one...overall I have nothing to complain about!

It's all about looking at the positives!

Now I must run and make a delicious spinach salad for a much anticipated Valentines Day party tonight!

HAPPY early VALENTINES DAY!

My good friend Rachel posted this SWEET DEAL for a quick little Valentines Day session for only 25 BUCKS with TARA PHOTOGRAPHICS!

I couldn't resist!

AND since Valentines Day colors are timeless for little girls...it was perfect for a few new pictures of Reagan...since it feels like forever since I got them done!

The session came with 5 finished photos...and although the session was kinda crazy trying to wrangle an 18 month old...it was totally worth it!

Tara was GREAT to work with.

Inspiration...

When we moved into our house (a little over a year ago) the first room I remolded was the bedroom!!

I painted, spray painted, glued, sewed and sewed some more!

I still LOVE my Anthropologie Inspired Knotted Bedding (to see tutorial go HERE)

BUT because I sleep with a GORILLA...for reals...the bedding is getting a little worn and torn.

AND although I have LOVE the WHITE I did...we are soon to have a new born baby in our midst and I don't think the while will last much longer...

SO...I picked up a few more sheets the other day at the store to start making a BRAND NEW bed spread!

I am still NOT SURE if I will be doing the same design or trying something different BUT I do know that I have A LOT of inspiration to draw from!
