Notice a difference in my kitchen decor??
A couple months back I posted about adding modern touches of decor to your traditional home…
do you remember the post?
Since that post I have felt inspired to update my home to have more of a ‘modern’ feel!
It’s crazy how quickly your taste in decorating can change…Jeff loves it!!
(can you hear the sarcasm in my voice?)
I blame it on my mother…one of my fondest memories from my childhood was watching her at night in her pajamas, with the lights dimmed, a candle burning, and Earth Wind and Fire playing softly in the background while she redecorated, designed and recreated something different and beautiful in her home.
It’s clear I’m my mothers daughter.
Lately I have been dying to repaint my kitchen and add new light fixtures to give it the bright, clean, modern look I’ve been wanting.
(don’t mind how GHETTO these before pictures are!)
But…let’s be real…ain’t nobody got time for that (or at least I don’t at the moment)
I needed to find a way to merge my traditional kitchen with some modern pieces without breaking the bank and without it taking up a lot of my time.
I’ve known for a while now that I wanted to switch out my stars on my wall for something more modern, so one day while searching ETSY I came across this amazing shop called
Chandra, the owner, is so unbelievably talented!!
She makes ONE of a KIND marqueez and signs for your home, business, friends and family.
From wood to metal to a mixture of both…she has mastered the art of creating these unbelievable pieces.
I mean…could you die!!?!
Look at ALL these different colors she offers!
I am OBSESSED with them.
They add just the right amount of modern but look vintage enough to tie the rest of my kitchen together!!
Can you believe she MAKES these!?
I got lucky and found some amazing old windows that were the perfect size for above my cabinets and I placed an old frame I painted gold, a random & sign I had purchased from TJMAXX years ago and an amazing painting that truly ties all my colors together perfectly!!
I finished off the look with some pom pom garlands and just like that, I’ve completely the look I wanted to achieve!
I am sure I will repaint and add more pieces eventually!
By now I’m sure you are all wondering how you can get you hands on a ONE of a KIND piece of art from JUNK ART GYPSYZ, right!?!
Good thing I’ve teamed up with them to give away one of these amazing hearts to one of my lucky readers!!
