For the past three years I have been going to school to become a Registered Nurse…and it finally happened! After what feels like hundreds and hundreds of clinical hours, a few needle sticks, thousands of tears, dozens of mornings waking up before 4, approximately 365 calls to home and family, 27 fantastic teachers, 2826 hours of intense studying, 8 pounds gained, 12 pounds lost, 1 fantastic husband, 101 supportive people who believed in me, 6 exit exams, 1 NCLEX 265 questions long, 1 Registered Nurse License!
On Feburary 6th 2009 my life changed forever. That was the day I took my NCLEX exam and passed! I honestly never thought I could do it. I know that I made it through because of the people that believed in me. Now I work as a Labor and Delivery nurse at a wonderful hospital with fun, hard working people that teach me to be a better nurse everyday. I love being a nurse and being a sugar mama for our family! I couldn’t have found a better career to have for me and my family.
