I originally posted this recipe on my blog in 2011!
I look back at that time and just can’t believe how far this little blog of mine has come.
From picture quality to content, it was fun and funny to see the growth from 2011 to 2016.
Anyway, I made these last night with a few changes and they were sooo good!
Such a perfect Paleo treat.
I just wanted to share, in case you need to curve your sweet tooth, in a healthy way, of course!
1 cup dark chocolate (over 73% cacao) I love the Ghirardelli dark chocolate bars, use 6 ounces to make a cup
1 cup coconut milk (canned)
1/2 cup unsweetened chopped dried dates
1 1/4 cup Almond flour (I used coconut flour this time because I didn’t have any almond flour)
1/2 tsp sea salt (I love using Himalayan pink salt)
1/2 tsp baking soda
-preheat oven to 350
-blend coconut milk and dates in blender until there are only small pieces remaining
-mix together dark chocolate and coconut milk mixture in saucepan over very low heat
-once chocolate is melted, remove from heat and mix in eggs
-fold in flour, salt, and baking soda
-spread a bit of coconut oil in the bottom of an 8×8 inch baking dish
-pour batter in dish and cook for 20-25 minutes
-let cool and garnish with bananas and sliced almonds
