Okay guys, I get it.
In fact, I don’t remember the last time I peed by myself. Especially since we only have one working toilet right now AND one shower for the last 4 years. BUT I digress, although the circumstances might be a little abnormal, honestly, when are they “normal” and when will there ever be a “good time” or “enough time” for self care?
I’ve learned the hard way that I could either find misery in my circumstance, or I could find JOY, and the last time I checked, I am not getting any younger…so JOY IT IS!
It’s more than simply JOY though, and it’s more than just a thought, it’s taken the time FOR YOURSELF!
BUT HOW? HOW YOU ASK?
Let’s me show you 4 ways to do it amongst the army of little humans!
1.LET THEM JOIN YOU!
If you can’t run away from them, you might as well let me them join you right? My absolute favorite face masks of all time are the RECOVERY: COLLAGEN INFUSED ANTI-AGING RECOVERY MASKS!!

2. GO OUTSIDE!
Even if it’s just stepping out on your front porch or deck. Go outside barefoot. Feel the ground under your feet. Take a big inhale and fill those beautiful lungs with fresh air. Walk on the leaves and feel them crunch underneath you. Roll on the trampoline with your dog or kids. Pick up some leaves you think are beautiful or branches to build a fairy fort. Being outside is some of the cheapest self-care you can give yourself! Use that gift from mother nature!
3. MULTITASK THAT CARE!
Self care doesn’t have to mean a full day at the spa. You make it work for you! Even if you have to jump in the shower with your Nutella covered baby, make that shower time count girl!!

4. MOVE YOUR BODY!
Movement is a huge part of my self care every single day. AND if you notice in the pictures below, most of my movement is simply done in my family room amidst toys and goldfish and babies. (although the pictures don’t show any of that, it’s usually there, I promise!) You don’t have to roll out your yoga mat to find movement.
Lay on the ground and stretch while your babes are playing around you. Dance in the kitchen. Do squats while your soup is boiling. Run up and down the stairs a couple times. Or just put on a song and move like a slow dance on your mat. The beauty of self care and movement is it’s sacred and special to you! FOR YOU!
5. FIND STILLNESS!
Yes, even if chaos is ensuring around you. You can still find it! Breathe. Relax. Meditate. You will never understand just how much it can do for you until you try it yourself!
