BOYS BEDROOM REMODEL
The boys bedroom had a really weird layout with duct work protruding from the ceiling. Eventually it led us to removing all the walls and ceiling, and re-framing and sheetrocking the entire room. There use to be a built-in cabinet against one wall that we removed. Behind this wall was empty space where an old larger furnace use to sit. To maximize the use of the basement we tore down the wall and re-framed a new wall and closet in the location of the old furnace. The room had a small/short closet that we removed and later incorporated it into the new master closet that is now connected to the master bedroom. The bedroom at some point in time once had a sink and upon removing the sheetrock we discovered an old drain line and water supply line. We removed the old unused piping and installed a new drain line that connected to the kitchen drain from above.
In this picture you can see the remnants of the built in cabinet along with the old air duct and piping for the old sink.
