Oh…my….word! Do you feel like everything in your house is running a little more chaotic? A little more last minute. What happened to summer? Popsicles and just running around outside.
I love that my kids are able to try some new things this school year, but getting things started this week was a little stressful.
There was school clothes shopping, and supply shopping, and making sure school computers worked and all…the …things!
We were supposed to do family pictures during a trip to Idaho a couple of weeks ago, but I was sick, so we stayed home. So of course, I wanted to add family pictures into the mix.
You want to know what was not stressful? Haircuts. Yes! Haircuts for the kids were not stressful at all! Great Clips to the rescue!
There are over 75 salons in the Salt Lake City Area. So no matter where I was running the latest errand I had a place to stop by.
You can check in online or right in the Great Clips Online Check-In app – and even opt in to get a text when your time was about 15 minutes out (thanks to ReadyNext text alerts!). That made it super easy for us to end our school shopping and head on over to the Fort Lane Village salon in Layton, UT.
Regan and Baylor were beaming. We all wore our face masks, but I could just tell they were ready for that fresh new start a school year brings.
Starting the new school year with a fresh new cut will be fun and exciting for the kiddos. Better yet, encourage them to express themselves. Let them share their thoughts and ideas with you. Let them lead in telling the stylist the look they are going for.
Baylor was totally onboard for this! I follow his lead when it comes to sharing his creativity. He never ceases to amaze me!
What are you waiting for mama? Don’t worry about trying the haircut thing at home if it’s stressing you out – and your kids squirming around! Great Clips was extremely conscientious of our current standards as well – masks were worn the entire time, the salon had proper cleaning and sanitizing protocols in place. Let the great stylists at Great Clips take this one off your plate. Click here to find a location near you.
And of course, we took our new haircuts to get family photos too. I can’t wait to share them with you!
