When it comes to backpacking, of course you want your clothing to be lightweight and comfortable. But, let’s be real. We also want to look cute while we’re on the trail. Well, as cute as can be when you’re dirty and haven’t showered in a few days.
Here’s a mix of four comfortable and cute items that I love to wear when I’m backpacking.
Blenders Eyerwear
I love, love, love Blenders for several reasons. First, they have the cutest sunnies. I mean, just look at them! No matter what style you like, they have a pair for you. I personally love a reflective lens and a patterned frame.

I also love how lightweight Blenders’ sunnies are, which makes them perfect for hiking and backpacking. They also don’t slide down my face like other sunglasses do. If you want a little more security that they aren’t going anywhere or if you want to hang them from your neck, they have fun, colorful cords.

Baffin Slippers
After wearing your hiking boots all day, the last thing you want to do is put them back on to walk around camp. Instead, you want something cozy that you can slip your feet into. There’s nothing cozier for the backcountry than Baffin slippers. These lightweight, packable booties will keep your feet clean and cozy as you walk around camp.
Baffin slippers are also for those cold desert nights in the backcountry. When a freak cold front rolled through Moab a day before our first Simply Wild retreat, these slippers kept our tootisies warm!

Bombas Socks
When you’re hiking or backpacking, you’ll want to get some wool socks. Bombas makes merino wool socks that are durable, comfortable, and cute.
Merino wool comes from Merino sheep, and the wool is thinner and softer than regular wool. So, if you’re worried about it making you all itchy, it won’t.Because Merino wool is thinner, it adds cushion and comfort without the bulkiness of regular wool.
Merino wool is awesome at wicking sweat, which is important because sweaty feet can lead to blisters. And blisters can ruin a whole weekend. Get you a pair of these socks. Your feet will thank you.

Slouch Headwear
I love supporting local brands, and Slouch Headwear is one of them. They have the cutest beanies in the prettiest colors. I mean, how perfect are these earth tones for the backcountry? The desert mornings and nights are cold, so these Slouch beanies are always with us on our Simply Wild women’s backpacking retreats.
